The 3-stage H2O+ Cypress H630 water filtration system*:
Stage 1: COMPOSITE PLUS FILTER (HF-31):This two-step filter reduces particulate materials such as sand, rust, and fine particles from the water supply. This first filter also acts as a pre-filter protecting the 2 following filters. Recommended replacement every six months.
Stage 2: NANOTRAP FILTER (HF-32): This specialized, patented, and innovative nanotechnology filter is made with 100% USA-sourced materials (including nano alumina & cellulose fibers with a pore size of 2 micron (2 µm)) that reduce turbidity, harmful waterborne microorganisms (including many bacteria and viruses), as well as numerous particulates. Recommended replacement is every 12 months.
Stage 3: CARBON BLOCK FILTER (HF-33): As the final stage in the filtration process, the carbon block filter further reduces particulates, bad tastes and odors, and water contaminants such as chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), improving the taste of the dispensed water. Recommended replacement is every six months.
Brondell water filtration systems are all tested and certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA). Beware of cheap imports and non-certified manufacturer’s filtration claims that have not been tested and approved by an authorized agency for water filtration products.
I love this filtration device, and having fresh clean water at the countertop. I like that it doesn't waste water. very happy with it.
We bought it because we had the water from a business and loved the water.
After years of relying upon an assortment of water filtration pitchers and noting the modest improvement in taste vs. the cost of filter replacements, I made the switch to this countertop system with the hopes of taking two steps up from a single stage solution. Overall, I've been very happy with the system, using glass bottles for filling/storing filtered water in the fridge, filtering water for our pets, and using the H2O+ for any homemade beverage with noticeable improvements in taste and particulates removal.
• slim form factor is excellent for limited countertop space
• 3-stage filtration improves taste of Los Angeles tap water noticeably, especially for renters living in buildings with older pipes (also reflected in a visual inspection)
• very easy to install
• no excessive water waste like reverse osmosis systems
• filters are fairly priced
• filter replacement is every 6 and 12 months, easy to remember
• the proprietary tool to install/remove the tubing seems an unnecessary hassle
• sometimes easy to forget water is divertor is still on from tap; an indicator light would be an improvement
We originally had an issue with another system and ended up purchasing this unit direct. This is why I do not have it showing as an Amazon Verified purchase for the record. However, I am certain our track record and years of Amazon service is more than adequate. This is a really nice unit with a small footprint (we use it on one side of the 1/2 bath sink). Hookup was simple and easy and Brondell has one of the best customer service departments I have ever had a pleasure dealing with.
Its rare today to find a company that stands behind their product 100% and strives for customer satisfaction on all points. Brondell has earned a customer for life and I will gladly give them the best advertising available (word of mouth). You cannot go wrong buying this system and we have owned plenty.
We have had the triple filter and tank system under the sink and this unit actually works better. We have owned several various filtration systems over the years and so far we are happiest with the Cypress system.
I'm sure many of you who are looking at this have already given the cheaper filters a try. I'd gone through 4 different models of filters before I finally decided it was time to purchase a higher-tier filter. And let me tell you, this one does not disappoint. In fact, I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.
The water source for my town is a foul-smelling lake which also is open to the public for recreation. It is the furthest thing from "fresh water." By the time my local water has gone through the city filtration, it also has a noticeably high level of chlorine. So with my water, everything is working against me. Instead of drinking a healthy amount of water everyday, the undesirable taste of the water usually meant I wouldn't drink enough during the day. This filter FINALLY fixed my problem.
The water that goes in this filter on one end is completely different from the water that comes out through the spout. I would describe the taste of this water as "nothing." Just pure water, that's it! I love being able to have a nice cup of water again as compared to bottled water from the store.
From my limited research, this appears to be the next best thing after Reverse Osmosis. From the CDC's website, there's a description of multiple filters and their function. The filter in this tri-filter assembly that caught my attention was the nanofilter. Nanofilter technology has a pore size of about .001 micron.
