50 gallons a day!....more like a quart a day for me anyway. dnt knw about this if ur waters hard over 300ppms might b too much
t's a good product. I bought it a month ago, so far so good.
We found out from using ppm tester (260 before filter and 260 after). Now with this product, it's 46 ppm. Not as impressive as the other reviewer's results but I am well satisfied.
It's a countertop version without water tank so the water flow is meant to be slow, but it's acceptable to me. I still use the old B**** bottle for storing the water and I believe it's not much slower than the B**** filter if not faster.
It's close to 5 star but I have to give it 4 due to the instruction manual and custom service. 1. No instruction on removing the cap from the drain line. It's a red cap but if there is no instruction on removing it, customer does not really know. And thanks to one of the previous reviewer, I got to know about it. If it's not removed, the water ppm wouldn't drop, and that's what happened to me..., so close to return it. 2. My kitchen faucet is one of those pull-out ones. It's not as direct as the standard version regarding installing the diverter. I contacted their customer service and got reply that there was no way to install the system for my situation. But after I did some research and found out there was a way to do it; I just need to find a pull out faucet head with removable aerator and adapter. 3. It does not say how often should I replace the cartridges. I know it varies but at least some guidelines would be helpful.
Overall, it's good.
Works very well.
Water purification rate is low than published. My rate is 3 gallon in 45 mins.
It should have been mentioned.
Had been in Columbus Ohio for 10 years. Never knew our public water system provided water had this great taste until it came through Crystal Quest. Tasted like premium mineral water. Coffee or tea tastes much better as well as cooking. I used to scoff at people when they claimed that water matters but I realize it now. After one year you need to change the filters and RO system I thought it better to just order the new one Last year bought this one from the company. Set up is easy, if you tighten it too hard it leaks sometime as the connection to your tap can "eat up the water connecting hose, just cut it up and fix it again. I would say its worth every penny and will buy it again.
The filter instalation was easy. It is quite slow in our house, probably also because of the water preasure. I bought also the mineralizer for this unit which is attached at the end. And I haven't tested the water by some company so I have no idea how it compares to the tap water but we wanted to filter out fluoride from it, so I hope it does that. I will need to check this however somehow.
