This high performance shower filter combines easy operation and maintenance with the ultimate in structural integrity and overall reliability. In fact, CRYSTAL QUEST® Luxury Shower Power is the strongest replaceable shower filter available on the market today. It can be easily changed and operated in either direction. Periodic reversing of the cartridge not only ensures balanced filtration and eliminates the potential for channeling, but also back-flushes the cartridge as it is filtering.
Water travels down through the shower filter, passing through ERA-6500 and ERA-9500 media for de-chlorination and enhances pH balance. Next, the water travels through the coconut shell GAC (granular activated carbon) stage to reduce contaminants and finally exits through the shower head. Conveniently provides 1 year of filtration.

I was hesitant on getting a shower filter for the longest time. Hard water seemed okay, at least I wasn't experiencing dry skin or had other issues with it, so I wasn't sure if I really needed one. Then I read some research about how much chemicals your skin absorbed, and how much of the minerals in hard water clogs your pores. It was a pain to clean all the mineral build up on the bath tub; it was a wonder how much of it actually stuck to my hair/skin. So I gave it a try and after about the 3rd shower, I noticed my hair was unusually shiny. I have never had shiny hair before, so I was shocked! And my skin felt refreshed and smooth, I didn't NEED to apply lotion on my face afterward. Now I truly believe in these shower filters, and I particularly like this one because I only need to switch it out once a year. It wasn't very difficult to install either, just made sure to wrap the pipes with the supplied tape and it was fine. The only real difference is that it took a bit longer to start up, but the water pressure was the same for me. Highly recommended.
I was downright frustrated with the quality of water coming into my house.... Chlorine, limescale, even muddy water.. after complaining To my local water authority, I was told that farmers even "unlawfully" use the fire hydrants to flush their pesticide and herbicide tanks... And septic/sewage truck owners had been reported flushing their equipment... I was told when this was done improperly, backflushing occurs, letting contaminated into our water supply. I've tried 3 other filter systems and they never lived up to the Ad, I'm very happy with my filteration. I use both the show and tub filter.... Crystal Quest is #1 I wish I could give this system more than 5 stars!
Got it for my daughter and she loves it.
I researched for months because I live in the desert and we received notice that our water was not meeting the criteria for chromium or arsenic. I was getting rashes before I found out about our water,thinking it was part of my rheumatoid (and yes I know, it too causes it). Long story short, after months because I became obsessed and needed something that would at least "help" with the fine bumps and rashes, super dry skin,itchy syndrome...I am very pleased! Water beads up on me, the water pressure is Awesome! It is plastic! and I wish it was heavier but I am being careful and If it breaks,,., I can replace the head it is the filter that I am appreciating! I made sure my daughter and son order one..
It works! I don't smell chlorine in my shower any more. Another reduction in toxins poisoning my body.
